Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Alongside her work as a lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
